This boy has been more than worthy of many titles
however a girl meaning myself can only do so much
you know ;) After attending PCA Regional Specialty Show in 2013,
I received a concussion stopping me from doing any shows period for awhile!
Every few years or so I carefully select a breeding,
raise the litter and then show my picks in both
Conformation & Performance in Canada and the U.S.A.

I had been wanting to try for some time now since a few years before my concussion back just after Santos, Sparkle and I went to PCA Regionals in
Salem, Oregon September 2013 where Santos achieved his
AKC Rally Advanced Title
With one practice run at Barn Hunt Academy in Bellingham, Washington
two weeks prior, I decided it was time to just do it!
So five Standard Poodles BHA Registered and entered, it was a
Road Trip to Hillsboro, Oregon the day before the Trials!!!

Just hanging around ...
At the older age of just on 14 years old my bed is too high
for the seniors so I do not allow them up anymore however look who
jumped on the bed two days in a row (below right) after we went
for our yearly adjustments at the chiropractor?!!
I think after two days of me saying OFF he got the point and has not done
it again since. Santos is in great shape however at his age I want to keep
it that way and I do not want him jumping off the
bed slipping and hurting himself. ♥

I was very pleased I decided to partake in the Poodle Specialties and
make the drive to Salem, Oregon! It was great to be reacquainted with so
many Poodle Lovers and Breeders I had not seen in some time.
Catching up with Poodles I also had not seen in years was wonderful along with shopping for Leggings for the boys, new Critter Beds and some long awaited Bling Collars!!
Extra special was seeing a couple of my pups and their owners
who came to see all the Poodles and meet back up with their Poodle Family.
That is always the best!

Today was the start of the heat wave on the West Coast. Up to then it has been raining and quite cool in the mornings. I was already feeling it at the U.S./Canadian Border line up at 8:30 AM and it did not get any better ugh! I have suffered heat exposure before so I do not do well in it anymore. I even considered turning around to come home! LOL
We persevered continuing onwards south to Mt.Vernon. Thankfully the
I-5 bridge that had collapsed back in May just north of Mt.Vernon had been temporarily fixed so we did not have a detour to contend with. We arrived at the show grounds just in time to see the end of Rally Advanced finding a nice big tree in the corner close to the Obedience & Rally Rings which was a very well received spot by all seeking shade :)

Ok so the walk throughs went well so I thought however
when dog and handler together went in the ring ... like I said and not making excuses it was hot!!! LOL Trying to remember back what happened on our course is just not there now other than Santos was distracted as were a lot of the dogs as it was the first outdoor Trial! I know I know PROOFING!
At one Station I somehow got his leash under his front leg I think when
we did the Down and Stop Station! Then when I tried to fix it upon
Judge Alice Peterson's instruction Santos thought I was giving him another signal to down so down he went! LOL Talk about fumble dee and fumble dumb!
Anyways I shan't go on as we did qualify for our 3rd Q from our third Trial taking a second in class to receive a new AKC Rally Novice Title! :)
With the 3 Rally Trials Santos accomplished 1 High in Class and 2 second places in class giving him the name

This happened on a somewhat special day as in the regards of both
my Father and Santos shared the same birthday being January 11th!
My Father would have been 89 years old and Santos will be
9 years old. This is how it made it easier for me to remember their ages ;) Unfortunately, my Father passed on the very same day October 28th, 2012 that Santos became a Top Producer.
Two very honourable males in my life that I love and will
treasure for the rest of my life!!!

It has stuck with all his friends!!!

with clean sound balanced movement, covering the ground as a
Standard Poodle should. He stands 24" square at the shoulders.
He has full body with spring of rib, depth and breadth of chest with good fill. His temperament is proof of how he spends time and patience around puppies that maul him and his continual patience of a 7 month old puppy male leaving his ears soaked from constant chewing on! UGH!!!
He is a very biddable dog and he effortlessly glides over jumps.
I can`t wait to start
Obedience and Agility with him.

We started dabbling in Beginners Agility
with sis Viola, mom Shiraz & grandmom Zarrah.
He just loves it being soooo keen, fast and willing with the tendencies
to show off!!!!
I looked forward to begin Agility again in Fall of 2006 however it did not
happen due to the Dog Show Schedule in both
the United States and Canada.
