I drove down to Bow, Washington just before lunch to compete with the two girls.
Luckily the weather was good for us.
We were in a nice building among farm living surrounded by beautiful countryside. :)
This was one Trial which we very pleasingly accomplished our third Q to achieve our
AKC Rally Intermediate Title! Sparkle also placed 3rd in her class.
Now to tell the truth of that cheeky monkey Sparkle! While I had Shimmer in the ring her darling mother Sparkle,
yes happy go lucky sweet Sparkle decided she had to bark at Shimmer while we competed in Advanced!
Our lovely judge even said mother cost us some points.
She did this in Monroe too as she watched us competing in the ring! (The second day I covered her crate up!)
Little brat Sparkle but I love her fiestiness all the same especially at twelve years young! LOL
Think she thought she shouldn't be left crated watching us in the ring ... maybe she is saying we are to do a BRACE!!!

getting her first leg of three towards her AKC Rally Intermediate Title!

Shimmer and Kareem then had their eyes check by the specialist at the Eye Clinic held by the Club. All good!
Then off to check in at the very quaint and newly renovated Snohomish Inn where I had stayed before when showing
Sparkle in Conformation for her American Championship. Once crates & suitcase were in the room off I went to have dinner
with a friend at Rogers Riverview Bistro. On the Appetizers Menu were Roger's Clams!!! The best!!! Simply a must have!

For the afternoon Sparkle remained her sweet happy self (when isn't she) still making me proud of her Qualifying Score of 93.

We even had snow coming down outside throughout the day.
Thankfully this venue was nice and toasty warm with the Gold Buckle Expresso

Sparkle did pretty darn good despite her handler (me)! LOL. I had a handler error on the Figure 8 by losing count
how many times I went through causing us a 10 point deduction giving us a still Qualifying Score of 87.
You should only pass through the center of the Figure 8 three times.
Otherwise she would have accomplished a 97 out of 100 putting us third in her Class (results). ;)

I think at her age of 11-1/2 years old Sparkle was feeling a little tired today as was I myself.
It had been very cold in the arena yesterday despite the fact I did have her in a beautifully designed fleece lined winter coat by

I think at her age of 11-1/2 years old Sparkle was feeling a little tired today as was I myself.
It had been very cold in the arena yesterday despite the fact I did have her in a beautifully designed fleece lined winter coat by

During lunch break Sparkle and I achieved her Canine Good Neighbour Title!
Just another fun achievement showing good temperament with good socializing and behaviour.
We all want a good Poodle to live with!

I decided it was time for Sparkle to do something else rather than be cute and happy! Let's do Rally!
So I figured at 11-1/2 years it was her time to come out and shine again.
We were able to squeeze in one class of training at TNT along with two drop in classes with a friend before the Trial. Yes not anywhere near enough time to train before a show but Sparkles mom Shiraz is now 15 years, 7-1/2 months old and is requiring a little more of my time. I really like to support the Obedience Trails on their own when they are not held the same weekend of the Conformation Shows.
It supports a different group of people that I thoroughly enjoy. :)
So off we went to have some fun. Trial #1 we scored 91 out of 100 being second in our class.
Not bad for our first Q which is Qualifying Score.
Trial #2 with a better score of 95 out of 100 giving us a High In Class. Two Q's with one more to go.

Please keep in mind Sparkle is 11-1/2 years old and we have only done one training class with two rally dropins doing the courses. ;)
This is why we are doing a little extra signals is due to the lack of training however
I decided it would be fun for us to go and play and that she did!!!
