Puppies have arrived!!!

They came one day early!!!
Four males and four females!!!
Males are three silver (possibly one is blue) and one apricot and the females are apricot with the possibility of one being cream!
First time we have ever produced apricot ♥ here at Violet Standard Poodles!!!
Well they say there is a first for everything!!!
I have a couple of puppies available so am still taking questionnaires at this time with approved only deposits for this litter!

Exrays show 8 puppies!!!
From day of ovulation very early Wednesday August 24, 2022 to today Twinks has gained 8 lbs and 8' at her waist to today.
Now to get the whelping room all clean, wash all the whelping clothes, bedding and put up the whelping box!

We had two previous failed attempts for a litter with Twinks, the first was with frozen semen.
I was advised against using fresh chilled semen for her 2nd attempt on her next season and to do a natural live coverage.
This was when the USA/Canadian Border was closed during Covid 19 so our travel was most limited.
Unfortunately the 2nd dog we used failed as he had a prostate infection affecting his semen.
Pacino now was the best choice for our third breeding with Twinks for various reasons.

Sooo my reason of going to an Apricot you ask???
I showed Pacino seven years ago and found him to be a lovely sweet and respectful boy! Lots to like about that in my eyes! He adored me and my silver stud dog Santos! That's another huge win for me!
His owner Pamela and I had worked well together and I fully trust her and Pacino over the years since we first met when Annette Shepard of Rebelstar Standard Poodles sold Pacino to her on the condition I show him to his Canadian Championship Title.
A second Rebelstar Standard Poodle Annette sold to someone on that condition.
So I have showed two of her dogs (a white & an apricot) which I thoroughly enjoyed!
This is my first time going to a different colour other than whites/creams, blues or silvers.
Also, through VGL on Better Bred it was a good choice!
We expect we could get a range of colours from, cream, apricot, blue and a possibility of silver!
Please remember my choice of breeding is always for health, temperament, structure and the bonus of our beautiful pastel colours!!!
Pacino had a recent litter of the ground so he is well proven and I'll add was very gentle, sweet and respectful of my girl!!! Most endearing actually which I'll never forget.
Why the photo of the wine?? We wanted three ties between Pacino and Twinks.
Granted our ... Three Wishes!!!
P.S. I noticed the name on the bottle while we were trying to cool off and enjoy a glass of wine!

I was able to actually relax a couple of times sitting on the dock taking in a cooler breeze at the end of the day.
A few years ago I had wanted to go with the Poodles to a lake and relax listening to the water.
Well that never happened so then until now I was able to stop a couple of times and enjoy!!!
