Morgan accomplished three levels of the Trick Dog Titles while she was pregnant with her litter! These moderate forms of exercises helped keep her interest and some form of condition without choosing strenuous tricks.

I am very pleased as Morgan, my little Covid girl
(as everything was shut down due to Covid for almost three years)
passed her Canine Good Neighbour Title today!
We had the most pleasant day seeing old friends that do
Rally and Obedience. A very laid back atmosphere with encouraging people! I wanted to do something with her so there we were!

Someone had her own introduction to the water this weekend! She decided she was going to pop over the brush on the waters edge! Little monkey LOL! She popped down then popped back up. Ok hmmm this was right where we were sitting and it was in the shallow end. I had brought an EZYDOG lifejacket which is what I always start my dogs with for their first swim to help build their confidence. I was looking forward to the next couple of days to go swimming with Morgan.

Well, Morgan Morgan Morgan ... early in the morning around 8:10 AM someone was in the water!!! Talk about how to wake up!
Even though I was there I had turned my back for a few seconds and off the dock she went! I didn't even see her go off.
She had been playing with a ball a few mins earlier so not sure what she did. I entered through the gated beach area and waded up to her where a couple of lily pads were tangled up in her back legs as she was on the opposite side from the beach area. I calmly took ahold of her neck scruff and swam her out with me. She remained calm as I was.
Not the way I wanted to introduce her to the water however she wasn't fazed one bit. As with all lives we must watch the water. Who knows if she possibly saw .... see below!

Wonderful news!!! I have an Otter Hound!!! LOL This is what woke me up at 3:00 AM. Morgan had gone to the open window the night before and I did hear something just outside. Now I know. It is Otters, River Otters to be exact!!!

I have shared my experience so others can learn from this as well. The River Otters were under the dock during the night and had been seen in the past under there. Morgan was hunting along the hedge of the lake so yes now I know what she was indeed looking for!
My otterhound! Dang!!!

Due to the passing of my Mom in March then Covid 19 with no dog shows,
I clipped Morgan down as she was also going into coat change.

I always take my Standard Poodles as they are very much received by everyone giving them a little smile and
brightening the moment for them while in the hospital.
It is also good for the dogs to be in a different environment.
