Our second weekend of CAP Trials was again with the first day raining LOL. Everyone was in good spirits because we are all out having a good time with our dogs! Fraser River Heritage Park is a wonderful venue with a
quaint but delicious restaurant the Blackberry Kitchen.
Lots of history in this beautiful Park.

Thanksgiving Monday Turkey Trot
October 9th, 2017
Shimmer and I just finished 6 Rally Obedience Trials in three consecutive days
the day before in Chilliwack, B.C. however not wanting to miss out
on a much needed practice we signed up for the fourth day
of the Thanksgiving weekend to attend the Turkey Trot! Thank you to all the volunteers that organize and manage these practices!

Another early morning up and at it, Shimmer and I head out to be greeted by a clearer day with no rain. For our second Trial with only one practice of 300 yards, Shimmer gave it a good go. I had heard someone else say something about a dip so not sure if that is what changed "the course" for Shimmer or the fact the lure zipped a sharp turn or the other factor she had ventured far enough
from her person which does keep some dogs from completing
the course as I was soon to find out. ;)
Needless to say we enjoyed the
weekend just the same.

NOTE: Competitors are strongly advised to have previously attended racing practices with their dogs in order to have familiarized their dogs with the starting, lure chasing and catching procedures.
